Tamara de Lempicka - A talk by Laury Burr.
Tamara is considered by many to be the doyenne of Art Deco portrait artists – she’d have said so herself, for sure!
Her life was extraordinary – an aristocrat who escaped from Russia after the revolution and turned to painting to survive once she’d sold the family jewellery. She used all of her charms (!) to succeed. You’ll hear about her life, her art and some of those whom she painted.
