This year’s theme, Give Me a Break, highlights the importance of allowing every young carer the chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy their childhood.
There are over 600 young carers registered with Bromley Well and each year, the Bromley Well Young Carers team provides vital support to over 200 of them.
Our dedicated team helps young carers manage their caregiving duties alongside school, personal growth, and future goals. Whether it’s navigating school transitions, receiving career advice, or simply providing a space for fun, the team will guide them every step of the way. Above all, we ensure that young carers have access to experiences that are both fulfilling and enjoyable.
From our weekly book club and new youth club to fun-filled holiday events, we create spaces for young carers to unwind, connect, and form lasting friendships with others who understand each other. Upcoming events include a 3-day music course and an Easter Fun Day, while previous activities such as circus skills, tai chi, and cake-making workshops have been huge hits!
Through these opportunities, we’re not only offering a break - we’re reminding young carers that they are not alone, and they deserve to have fun too.
